It is located in Xiahe County, 72 kilometers from the county seat and 56 kilometers from Hezuo, the capital of Gannan Prefecture. Construction started in September 2010 with a total investment of 722 million yuan,〔(甘南夏河机场开工建设 )〕 and the airport was opened on 19 August 2013. ==Facilities== The airport will have a 3,200 meter runway and a 3,000 square-meter terminal building.
